ARC Tim Huynh 2016 Scholarship Award

In 2014 the Austin Reef Club was sad to see the passing of one of our members, Tim Huynh (aka wizardx322). Tim exemplified the many characteristics that we wish for the Austin Reef Club and its members to aspire to. In light of his many efforts and connections to the club, our members and sponsors contributed to create and award an annual scholarship in his name, the ARC Tim Huynh Memorial Scholarship.

Annually the Austin Reef Club awards up to (2) scholarships to Austin area graduating high school students or who are pursuing a focus on marine sciences at an accredited college or university. The application is straightforward, requiring basic information and a 500 word essay on the applicant's career interests and goals in marine studies. Awardee selection is made by an ARC board. In the event that applications are not received, we open the application process to other attendees of Texas colleges or renew prior issued scholarships.
